You’ve got to start with the customer experience and work backwards to the technology.
The basic aim of every website is to provide information to its users. If it does not provide this information well, then it will ultimately fail at its end goal (selling products, capturing user data, engaging its audience etc.). Defining the right user experience (UX) for a website will be the single most important task of any digital build.
We need to understand the needs of your audiences and make sure that we deliver. Focussing on your users will have the biggest effect on your conversion rates. However, you need to achieve things as a business that your users do not want to do (e.g. sign up for a newsletter or spend some money!).
UX is about striking the right balance between your business aims and your users’ needs.
